September 11 Anniversary: Baltimore County to Hold Memorial Services
Remembrance Ceremonies to Honor Victims, Including 47 from Maryland
Services Open to the Public
Baltimore County will hold a series of memorial services on Sunday, September 11, 2023, to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The services will honor the victims of the attacks, including 47 Maryland residents who lost their lives.
The main memorial service will be held at the 9/11 Memorial at the Baltimore County Public Safety Complex in Towson. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m. and will include remarks from local leaders, first responders, and family members of victims. The service will also feature a reading of the names of the victims and a moment of silence.
In addition to the main memorial service, several other events will be held throughout the county. These events will include a candlelight vigil at the Freedom Plaza in Dundalk, a memorial service at the Frederick Road Fire Station in Catonsville, and a memorial service at the Randallstown Volunteer Fire Company in Randallstown.
All of the memorial services are open to the public. Baltimore County residents are encouraged to attend one of the services to remember the victims of the 9/11 attacks and to show their support for their families.
