Mauricio Roberto Pochettino Trossero was born on 2 March 1972 in Murphy, Argentina.
He began his professional football career in 1989 with Newell's Old Boys in Argentina.
Pochettino played for several clubs in Argentina, Spain, and England before retiring in 2006.
Managerial Career
Pochettino began his managerial career in 2009 with Espanyol in Spain.
He led Espanyol to the Copa del Rey final in 2010 and the UEFA Europa League final in 2012.
In 2013, Pochettino was appointed manager of Southampton in England.
Southampton
Under Pochettino's leadership, Southampton finished eighth in the Premier League in 2013–14.
The following season, Southampton finished seventh in the league and reached the League Cup final.
Pochettino left Southampton in 2016 to become manager of Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino is married to Karina Grippaldi and they have two children.
